My friend and virtually-next-door neighbor, Michael Tyler, who played “Gunther” on Friends, passed away Friday after a three-year battle with prostate cancer. Because he was only 56 when it was discovered that it had reached an advanced state, he spent his last year campaigning for PSA testing at an earlier age than normally prescribed. Tonight, raise a glass, toast “To Absent Friends,” and tell someone important how you feel about them.
