There are worse things than Savard on this roster. He's pretty decent when paired with a puck-mover because he can't move the puck to save his life, we just don't have a top 4 competent one at the moment.

That Gallagher contract and term looks terrible right now.

What’s the history of 5’9 forwards getting older in the NHL..? Do they fall off a cliff..??

M.St.Louis is the only one I can think of to play into his mid 30’s.

Marchand is on track to age well.

Wow, I guess I sound stupid being a Pens fan. I forget about Recchi.

It depends on their playstyle. Gallagher's is tearing on the body and he's never been a skilled hockey player, a good one yes but not a skilled one.

Ahh, forgot about Brian Gionta and Theo Fluery too.

And “Rocket” Richard doenst count. That was forever ago. I could’ve played in the NHL and been a 20 goal scorer back then.

This is 100% the truth. Game 5 vs Tampa when they eliminated the jackets in the bubble. Savard literally didn’t control a puck a minute into ot and it went right to brayden point. He can cover a 2-1 well but don’t ask him to break the puck out. It won’t go over the way you want.

That's right, and he chose a non-existent top 6 offensive role instead squinty smile

A Toronto born kid would never choose MTL over another team that is paying more
