Maybe some possible options for next year

Created by: Lancebmx
Team: 2022-23 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 30, 2021
Published: Oct. 30, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Might need to add more for strome who knows.

Dallas trade probably pretty unrealistic just what I would like to see back for Bertuzzi.

Don't know of flyers want to dump JVR next year but we could facilitate.

Would love a Copp signing, bring him home. He might need more money if he keeps this play up.

Resign Leddy for what I think is fair.

Bring in Edvinsson and Johansson to fill left d spots.

Expect to compete but not make playoffs, maybe wild card.

Yes I was reading the hawks want it off their books so they can accrued some cap space for the deadline.

Those articles were about two weeks old though and things might have changed by now.

I don't see Dallas trading Robertson unless he pulls a AA and has 5 points at the TDL. JVR has a $7M cap hit and since we have at least 1 more season with a flat cap I don't thing 2 3rd round picks is enough. Copp is going to want and will get more money if he keeps playing well. I don't think anyone knows what is going to happen in Chicago. I think they I think they just get through the season then let JC go and concentrate on getting their future GM and let him hire the coach he wants and also let him decide where the Blackhawks go from there.

Yeah the JVR deal is an interesting one. He's not a waste of a roster spot, he did lead the flyers in points last year I do believe. I'm not going to look it up but I think he was at least up there. He still has things to contribute and I feel like he would be a good mentor for Rasmussen on how he could utilize his body to make plays. Detroit also has a bunch of cap space next year. Unless they throw a ton of money at Trocheck I don't think they will use it.

Agree Dallas likely doesn't trade Robertson but he's from Michigan so another reason I targeted him.

Copp I don't think sustains this play but still likely gets more money i agree.

With JVR he is a winger and Vrána will be back for sure and Berggern can't be that far off. I also think Veleno starts on the wing to get him used to the pace before moving him to center. Now Namestnikov, Gagner and Rowney are all UFAs does Yzerman bring any of the back? Fabbri is as well but they either resign him or trade him at the TDL. With Yzerman playing it so close to the vest we are probably have to wait until the TDL before we know what direction he is going. I'm not sure if Detroit has a chance at Copp but if they do I'd be satisfied with him being the only new player they add.

Robertson is better, younger, cheaper, and has more years of team control than Bertuzzi. Theres 0 chance DAL would make that trade let alone adding to Robertson

With what cap space? If the cap goes up to $82,500,000 they'll have about close to $13,000,000 or so to sign 10 players. And $5,000,000 goes to Copp alone. Good luck with that.

And if Dubois continues his reign terror so far 7M would go into him
