I think the only place Trouba would waive to is the Panthers ... his wife is from south Florida and hes there in the offseason.

Plenty of people have tried a Kessel trade and the consensus is his trade value isnt all that high (maybe a 2nd round pick), so giving up all that extra for Hayden isnt worth it.

So stupid when people send Trouba to teams he's obviously not going to. And to do it without filling his role...

Detroit might be an option as it is where he is from, but I agree more likely to be Florida. He won't waive until his wife is done her med school stuff as well, not sure when that is.

i mean lundkvist has proven his worth imo, nemeth can play RD, jones is obviously a good d-man, and schneider should crack the lineup eventually. filling his role is not the problem.

On other threads I've voiced displeasure with acquiring Kessel in a Krav deal...but this is one that (value wise) seems to have potential...with maybe a small addition on either side of the deal. That Trouba NMC is an anchor, though...don't see them moving him until it becomes modified (I believe end of 2024)....don't know why NYR (particularly JG) handed out NMCs like Halloween candy- especially to a guy who "forced" his way out of PEG to NY (all based on fiancee's career) and then was welcomed with a top dollar, long term contract....piss poor negotiating!

Nemeth has been bad. Lundkvist plays less than nemeth. Jones can't defend NHLers in his own zone, and your only defenseman with size is Miller, and he plays like a kitten.

If you don't think filling Troubas role is a concern, you haven't been paying attention, especially to the moves they made this summer.
