Cutting it a little tight to the cap ceiling are we?

Jokes aside, not sure why Ottawa makes that deal with CHI. Why not just let Brannstrom develop and keep your second round pick?

isles decline. They can fit everything in and if they were to trade Bailey they'd get more

Hawks trade makes sense. It would be tough to trade Murphy with his contract length and favorable cap hit, but Brannstrom has always intrigued me and I think he would fit well next to some of our more defensive minded guys.

Has anyone thought of using Drake and Josh references RE : Batherson and Norris?

No actually , it’s mostly been Chuck Norris with Tkachuk and Norris. They call Batherson , Bath Bomb and other stuff like that

Brannstrom-Jones can be a good pair. Brannstrom is already an extremely good PP QB. He can put up pts but need to be paired with someone who can play physical and defend

Ah thats unfortunate.
Yeah. Brannstrom was a guy I wanted to fall to the Hawks in the 2017 draft. Felt he went a little early but still a first round talent. Still only 22, like Ian Mitchell for us, who hasnt put it all together yet either. I would imagine Brannstrom could be a guy they look for if hes available for much longer and we *still* havent won yet

The only reason he hasn’t cracked the team is because the coach believes in building his own “perfect team” and Brannstrom doesn’t fit that narrative . He was on pace for 35pts last year in limited nhl minutes mostly 3rd pairing minutes

Lol they would not get more. Bailey is the obvious player to trade next offseason and find an upgrade.

Wow, really think Norris is worth that contract? Not really saying you're wrong, just kind of surprised to see a big deal like that for him. I'd probably expect closer to a bridge, but I'm not too well versed on it. Less than a million lower than Zibanejad with only seeing 2 NHL years. The following year you've got Jimmy, Zub, and Gustavsson to sign among others. 13 contracts signed and ~20mil space. Jimmy sees his buds Brady and Norris get the huge deals after ELC and will be expecting his

If they re-sign Josh Brown, I'll lose it.

Josh Norris’s best comparable is Nick Suzuki. The guy already has 5 goals in 7 games. Wouldn’t be shocked at all if he finished with 30+ goals this year

Norris's number is definite around where it should be.

It would be an interesting move, Chicago gets a puck mover and a PP QG, however with Murchpy in the lineup at that term it doesn't;t really leave room for JDB to get into the lineup and I think the team plans on him being a top 4 guy for sure.

I would say no to Bailey, I just don;t think he is the right kind of player that will work well on a lin with Stuzlte.
