He will be to run your PP for a couple of years while your kids grow.

The Jarry overpay is also to take the Kassian contract which is purely a cap dump

Pens likely decline. I doubt they're going to move a cheap solid goalie. Pens are also not likely to sign Fleury. As it sounds right now he either retires or goes back to Vegas on a cheap contract.

Nope. Already have Seider and Hronek on the right side. Not a fit

If I were the Oilers I'd be getting creative to try and acquire Bobrovsky. FLA is going to be in a cap crunch after NEXT season, so while they're not going to be an immediate need, with Knight ready to break through, they should really start thinking about moving him next year rather than wait until after.

It likely won't cost much to acquire Bobrovsky due to his age/contract, but he's still playing well and worth to a team like EDM in my opinion.

Koskinen coming off the books covers half of Bobs' salary, so getting creative to move out the rest is necessary, but not impossible.

As good as it can be from the back end. We need more scorers up front, not on the back end.

I don't know why you're trying to fit a square peg into in a round hole. He's not a fit in Detroit. Look elsewhere.

Kassian isn't a cap dump though. He's playing well this year due to not having a broken hand like last year.

I'd totally take Barrie for that price, everybody goes crazy about how he's bad defensively but if you lead all defensemen in points does it really matter? Just play him in a sheltered role and give him PP1 time. Not like it's a bad contract either. Under $5mil for two years ain't bad, especially when Detroit still needs to hit the cap floor.

For just a 3rd id take barrie and flip him. We dont need anothrr rd but I won't turn down an asset we can capitalize on.

He is good in a 3rd pairing and PP specialist, he is thriving in that role in Edmonton

It doesn't matter, he still will have trade value. You won't have to pay to dump him.

Oh I know he has value but its more taking minutes away from young guys who need to play. The edmonton pp is ridiculous though, I could get points playing with those guys.
