Last season anomalous

Montreal's still paying Price 10.5 forever, and Wolf is Calgary's only good goalie prospect, so even if Montreal did want him, Calgary couldn't afford to part with him. Especially not for a deal that we can't even make due to cap restrictions, and wouldn't based on value/needs.
