        Dynasties usually come from like

        Kucherov Hedman Vasilevskiy Stamkos etc.

It's hard to see how this compares at all tbh

        Especially with nedeljkovic a UFA-1

I think you did a pretty good job here in general

Detroit got Leddy from NYI so he can't go back with retention until next season.

        Colorado doesn't accept either trade.

At this point Detroit would be lucky to get a 5th for Stecher.

Who knows what's going to happen with Namestnikov and I'm not sure even Yzerman knows. I know Pittsburgh was interested in him.

I don't think the Wild will give up a 2nd for Fabbri. Plus he is playing well and I don't think resigning him will be a problem.

Colorado won't do that. Well they won't do either of them really. Value wise the other ones are good except leddy can't go back to the islanders retained.

Never heard that rule before. Is that true?

COL wouldn’t do that trade if Sakic were drunk.

I think that is only if Leddy was traded to DET with Retention as well. I know there were changes after WSH traded Orpik to COL and then signed him a month later after COL bought him out, but Leddy isn't affected by those changes.

Agreed, the way i read the rule was the player can't be traded back within a year if the original trade had retained salary with it. Since there was no retained salary on the original trade, I think he can be sent back to NYI retained. Even if there was I don't think it'd matter because he's UFA so the rule is different there too.

        No that is wrong.

NYI didn't retain on Leddy the trade was made to create cap space. Leddy cap hit $5,500,000 Panik after Detroit retained $1,375,000 so it gave NYI $4,125,000 in cap space.

        Leddy Trade History

You guys are missing the point of the rule which is to prevent direct circumvention of the salary cap.

Colorado declines both trades easily, both on value and that we don't want any s**t on, or in, our jerseys!
