Edmonton needs cheap forwards in the future i doubt they start trading their young guys.

Savoie is a couple of years away...Kuokkanen is 23 years old and playing now.
I figured Kuok fit EDM's window. Savoie closer to NJD's window.

I am surprised you'd be willing to deal Savoie right now. He is off to a fantastic start with tons of potential and while Kuokkanen is a fine player his too many spurts of vanishing offense. And with all the great prospects in NJD could be passed over which is why I'm guessing he is being traded here. I wouldn't be giving up on Savoie but that's me.

I think this is all very well thought out. If we have any chance at getting M. Tkachuk, it's going to be at least that. If we want to sign a big name winger, we'll have to give up fan favorite roster guys either via trade or due to cap issues.
