All trades are good to me tho Avs fans don’t like trading prospects
Also you can do conditions on if a player resigns anymore

New CBA doesn't allow conditions based on re-signing/extending. Ristolainen also isn't what the Oilers need. Would have more interest in Brassard for depth pick or going big with someone like Giroux.

I like Giroux but I wouldn't give Newhook for him, they need his ELC to fill a roster spot so they can save cap space for everyone else. I'd do a 1st + one of Helleson/Kaut/Bowers/etc, and maybe add a pick on top

Really can't see Colorado doing that. Newhook with an extra year on his ELC is going to be extremely important to Colorado extending their cup window, this would be too shortsighted of a move

Avs decline that instantly. Seriously you think a rental lands Newhook

And even if avs can’t afford Newhook once he’s off his elc, they could trade him for a haul. Not for a rental, and no they can’t extend giroux, if they can’t afford Newhook then they can’t afford giroux bloated contract

I think Giroux would push them over the top, he isn't what he used to be but hes still a top player in this league and I think if Colorado adds him, they have a shot at the cup

they should be interested in adding him as a rental but in on way is he netting a newhook or newhook young player from the Avs. Rentals do not have that sort of return

You literally have Duncan Keith in defense. Anyone is an upgrade for him.

Ristolainen RHD, Keith is LHD. Irrelevant. Besides, Edmonton doesn't have the cap space to make this move.

And Yandle isn't an NHLer anymore, hence the OP giving him away for free.
