GM Game Master Thread

OK. Here's a game that people can play if they want where people can pretend to be the GM of a team, and we can make trades and stuff as if it's the offseason (no vegas expansion trades until we get closer to the expansion draft, though you may talk about those trades). You may ask for a team, and i will give you that team if it isn't already taken. My favourite teams are the Rangers and Islanders tied, so i'll be the Islanders. Each person may only be the GM of one team.

No it's not. Because there is a TRADE FREEZE. This mean NO TRADING for ALL TEAMS. There aren't any exceptions. Because if you can make a trade, then so can I, so then everybody can do it. But no the trade freeze applies to EVERYONE. Hope you understand now.

then why was everyone else breaking the rules before? anyway it doesn't matter. we don't have a trade. conversation ended.

Two questions for the BOG:
1) Nashville has not protected Bieksa. He has a NMC
2) Detroit has not protected Phaneuf, also with a NMC

I though all players with a NMC must be protected no?

Yes, we have already brought this up, but thanks for bringing to our attention. We are in the process of figuring out what to do with it.

In response to Rangersandislesfan commenting on my protection list... Since I acquired Bieksa through a trade, wouldn't that negate the NMC (as we really aren't playing with them regardless), thus allowing me to protect who I want? If the board responds and says no, then I lose a decent player in Edmundson. Would suck, but let me know

According to the rules we agreed on, their is no waiving/negating of NMC's and the player's status in the Capfriendly Expansion Tool is their status in the game.
If they have an NMC in the CET, they must be protected.

please address rangers in my expansion draft thread. he has posted multiple times and hasn't listed his exposed players.

imo, we should plan on re-evaulating his position on the BOGs soon bc he cannot follow simple directions, that are bolded, on the top of the page.

We may need to have a new official Expansion thread because there are a lot of bad errors in the current thread. Lots of goofed up lists that need to be corrected

Also, Philly, is it ok if one of the board members starts the new Thread? That way we can have all the formatting correct and hopefully people will correctly post their lists this time.

I am fine with a board member starting it, contingent on that Rangers is not the starter of the thread.

Are you proposing that you, the BOGs, reformat every post that all the teams have listed or have every re-post their lists.

why are teams allowed to re-do their protection lists? I thought that it was going to be last person would be subbed out for the player that must be protected.
