You have to include Holtz or Mercer for Arizona to listen

The 2023 1st could very easily end up in the top 10-15, that's why Arizona would listen. Most teams offering trades for Chychrun will be contenders. Their 1st round picks will be late, which greatly reduces the quality of the players available. Ty Smith still has value, and can really take off in an organization that is good at developing players. Would Arizona be more likely to listen if Severson replaced Smith, because Severson will fetch a big return on the trade market?

No thanks. I like Zacha, but not as the main piece in a Fiala trade.

That is a horrible justification on why they would listen LMAO. Maybe mid round scratch tickets in 2 years dont carry nearly as much value as you think

Fiala is very underrated, and would have better numbers this year if he wasn't shooting 4.3% (career low). Also, the forward group's productivity also hinges on Holtz producing on Hughes's wing

It will be tough to find a piece that will fit within the Wild's cap constraints. The Wild won't be able to upgrade in a Fiala trade unless it is a rental at this year's deadline.

A pick in the 11-20 range has a 75% chance of becoming a full-time NHLer. Picks 21+ in the first round have a 45% chance. If the pick ends up in the top 10, which isn't crazy considering the debacles we've seen from the Devils, the chances jump to ~90%.

I mean we can just keep him... he's an RFA after all. No reason in trading him just to trade him, we're a better team with Fiala

But that's over years from now and is 100% reliant on New Jersey making zero progress in team development as well as zero teams falling off.

Again, I reiterate, Any talk for Chychrun starts with Holtz or Mercer

First place Minni shouldn't trade Fiala this season.....That could be a summer trade though, if Minni needs cap.
Leafs need Dman not another winger, so they keep Dermot
Jersey should keep their young assets not making a trade for Chychum. Jersey has lots of cap...signing a UFA would be better.

I'm onboard with how good Chychrun is but LHD is about the only place we have #s
Graves, Smith, Hughes, Muk, Bahl, Ohotyuiak
Trade Smith (i wouldn't) and its less but RHD is the more apparent need. PK gone this year, Sevs who is the whipping boy online the following yr and all we have coning up is Walsh, who coukd be the bottom rightie, but thats it! Case Mccarthy may be the only other right handed shot.
A couple of our lefties can play the right side (Smith, Siefs, Hughes) but its the bigger need.
