The Rangers wont do this. They want to extend Strome and trading for Miller would end that. Plus they wont trade Schneider, Nils maybe.

Pearson could fetch a 3rd or 4th rounder pretty easily I think

Vancouver is not trading Rathbone for a player like Kapanen, although I do think they might have some interest in Kapanen, Rathbone won't be part of a return package for him

Motte fetches a 3rd rounder minimum, and Canucks probably have to retain maximum salary on Miller in that deal

Vancouver is fine, idk why they'd really do any of this.

Pens can get a heck of a lot more for Kap than that. Pens easily decline this one.

You got this backwards, my man. This is an instance of fans overvaluing their prospects. Yeah, he's an ok prospect, but Kap is worth far more than that.

First off, the Pens have no reason to move Kapanen right now. Maybe that changes because of other players they need to keep, but if they did, they can get way more than that.

Yep Kapanen is an RFA and is worth far more than Rathbone. Also since when are the Penguins selling?

Not saying Kapanen isn't more valuable, but Rathbone is still a good prospect, and Vancouver would be foolish to consider moving him at this point

Rangers should do that trade. Will add if Vancouver retains salary.

They're not. People keep acting like that, but it's not the reality. The off-season may be a very different scenario depending on this season ends, but as of right now they're not sellers and may be buyers at the deadline.

VAN is pretty set at defense, and taking Kap out of the equation, any dman prospects would be what they should use to pick up parts they want/need.

Maybe, but like I said, I don't think Rathbone is in the cards yet

Rangers aren’t good enough yet to make a deal like this. They’d be swept in the first round if they even made the playoffs.

Van is not at all set at defense.
