That’s not going to do it my friend. I think the min start is a 1st, 2nd, top F prospect (Veleno or Berg), and a top D prospect (wallander or Albert). That’s prob still not enough
So, basically swap out Leddy with a 1st and add another sweetener... I’m sure AZ fans will still ask for more

Agree with you completely. The two prospects are nice, but the team getting Chychrun will have to give a better roster player than Leddy and a 2022 first instead of a second. Leddy is a rental, for goodness' sake!!

Not a Detroit fan so im not sure who the top guys are in terms of prospects or what may complete the trade. I figured someone like you would clarify that better than what I did here, which makes more sense

Leddy has novalue to Arizona but if you get a 1st you can flip it for him. So 1st, Berggren, and johansson or wallinder I thibk is about the max they could go. They can't move Edvinsson or Cossa.

I think Zadina would have to be the big piece in that deal

imo the conversation starts with edvinsson, i don’t think zadina is that highly regarded rn that he could be the centerpiece of this deal.

Yeah, wasnt sure about Leddy’s value which is why hes in the package, but the 1st does make more sense. Not a chance Edvinsson gets moved. I got the idea from an article i read today on how Detroit should go for Chychrun, as it would solidify their top 4. Like imagine a top 4 group of:

Chychrun - Seider
Edvinsson - Hronek

i feel like az could get a much better offer elsewhere. mcisaac’s always injured and zadina hasn’t been able to break through. berggren’s been good but not amazing in the ahl. none of those pieces would be super exciting to me as a potential return. obviously raymond and seider are out so the convo starts with edvinsson imo.

Arizona doesn't really have a deep prospect pool so I think they'd want a quantity of prospects and Detroit has that. Also throw in any Red Wings LD prospect McIsaac was the first one to come to mind

if i were them, especially in a rebuild and without a deep prospect pool, quality >>>> quantity. one top guy is better than three guys who project as bottom sixers or bottom pair guys. you can find those anywhere.

This is tempting from a Red Wings perspective. I really like Berggren and Johansson. We need LD but Edvinsson is on the way. He looks like a sure fire stud. Johansson can really skate. Berggren has alot of upside too. Chychrun is right in his prime. I'm still pissed Holland swapped picks and drafted Cholowski so Chayka would eat the Datsyuk zombie contract. I'm on the fence and can't decide. Good trade proposal. I'd regret seeing Berggren turn into a star in Arizona. Coyotes would likely say no and I'm fine with that because as a Red Wings fan I won't offer more.

Edvinsson is a non starter. He's not going anywhere.

i’m just saying i think that’s who the yotes would ask for and that’s the piece that would set detroit’s package apart from what other teams could offer. they want an enormous return for chychrun, eichel level.

i think that’s even more of a reason to just try to pick up the best prospect you can get in this trade. the yotes don’t have to worry so much about quantity when they have so many picks in the top two rounds this year, they’ll have a lot of depth in the system naturally.

I can understand that. If I'm Arizona I'm swinging for the fences in any Chychrun trade. I really don't think he'll be traded but he's flavour of the month right now.

Detroit is in no position to make big name trades, period. Stay the course of drafting and developing, that's the path to success
