Then swap TOR for VAN or another team… DeMelo for a 3rd is a good deal, especially with RHD being in demand right now.

He's a good bottom pair guy, just at 3 mil he's not that attractive especially when so many teams are tight to the cap.

Trade 1: Can't see TB doing this. Love Scheifele, but TB has control over Cirelli for much longer, and he's a shutdown guy that can put up points. And you're not sneaking a minute munching good you Dman at a cheap contract into this deal.
Trade 2: Leafs have no interest in a #6/7 Dman at 3 mil for the next few years. We'd rather stick with Holl or Dermott. Most other teams won't either unfortunately. The future of 5/6 spots in the NHL is going to be 1.5 mil and under, esp with the trend of overpaying top end young Dman big bucks.
Trade 3: I could see SEA maybe doing this one - WPG might have to add a low pick
Trade 4: you're not getting Patrick for a 5th, no matter how much his stock has dropped.

RFA values look good, but I don't see you getting any of those guys for more than 2 years. 3 years you'll have to pay a little more
UFA's: I think Copp is a little under paid and Rackell is a little over paid. Statsny and Braun look about right. I don't think Holtby and Helly would make a good tandem due to their personalities.
