fair enough. just thought that you guys don't really need zadina anymore, plus hes not looking to hot right now.

He’s only 22, and I think Raymond is getting a lot of what was Zadina’s ice time. Deservingly so, but Zadina will turn it around

You obviously haven't watched him play. He needs to figure it out on the scoresheet, no doubt, but he's been playing his ass off and his advanced metrics are fantastic. If he keeps playing the way he has been and generating the high danger shots he has, the points will follow in bunches.

TL;DR - We're not trading Zadina. He's good.

+ he plays better with Vrana which is good because I don’t want to break up Bert, Lark, and Raymond.

Geez that'll be such a dumb move by Holland if he does it, does anyone really look at the Oilers and think 'yeah they just need Chiarot and they're set?.. lol

last time I saw his analytics they weren't very good. He sure is struggling on the scoresheet. I can't see him stealing any ice time from Raymond Larkin Bertuzzi Vrana anytime soon.

Hes got potential for sure, that's why I tried to acquire him in this AGM. Wish him the best.

I’m starting to want as well to pick a D in this draft. With the forwards not looking as strong as in other drafts, I don’t mind stacking the D prospect pool with someone like Jiricek or Nemec. One of those + Guhle, Mailloux, Romanov is a really strong core to build around.

Next year, tank again and hope to get one of Mitchkov or Bedard. In addition, hopefully get an additional 2-3 first round picks this year and next year combined. In 2 years, you start to have something that makes a lot of sense. The D prospects have had time to develop a bit more, Suzuki Caufield enter their prime, Primeau is ready to go as a number 1 or at least share the duties. With all the other prospects, and the players traded away at this years deadline and next, you can have something nice

Suzuki Caufield
Guhle Mailloux Nemec/Jiricek
Primeau
Plus 2 other first round picks and other prospects

Zadina is looking good, 2nd highest shots on the team, good advanced metric, solid on the eye test, just puck isnt really going into the net for him. His linemates highlight Detroit's drop in quality after the first line, mostly playing with Suter, Fabbri, Rasmussen etc. Zadina imo is part of the future on probably the second line.
