Yeah, this just doesnt make sense, sure Namestnikov isn't getting a huge haul at the deadline. But he alone should be getting a 3rd. With retention and/or taking back Turris Edmonton are throwing in another pick.

All of this. The offer doesn't even start a conversation and is crossing the line into insulting. I will go one further that Namestikov shouldn't even be dealt unless someone is willing to overpay. He is incredibly versatile, loves being here, is loved in the room and should be able to be extended for a reasonable caphit. If a good enough offer comes along, maybe then we trade him and try to re-sign him in free agency, but I wouldn't even let him walk out the door and would rather they just extend him before it gets to that point. We are very close to turning the corner and at some point, they need to stop being sellers (note, we should NOT be buyers, just stand pat more or less) and send a message that they're taking the rebuild to the next stage.
