Schneider or it's not happening. You would think after the last 10 AGMs posting the same trade Ranger fans would figure it out

That roster is fire.

They really should contend for the cup.

Youd think after the last 30 ACGM's VAN fans would realize Schneider isnt being traded. But, you know, when the trade does go down and its even less than what us fans are proposing, youll be wishing what we did post actually happened.

Just out of curiosity why do you prefer Schneider over Lundkvist? They have one year age difference and Nils is more NHL ready with playing almost 30 games already this year compared to Braden's two games.

I don't really see much difference between these guys value wise.

It's Rangers fans constantly posting Miller trades not the other way round.

They need someone who can play with Hughes. They aren't gonna pair 5'10 Hughes and 5'11 Lundkvist together

Its just a matter of them not wanting another offensive defenseman, regardless of the talent level.

OEL-Myers are already paired together and have been excellent. They aren't trading their leading scorer unless it's for someone who can play with Hughes

Colorado seems to be doing terribly with Makar Toews and Girard all consuming spots in their top 4, yes

The difference in size and physicality is probably the reason, the same reason you all want to trade Nils over Braden. Given how locked up the top 2 RD is and the plethora of RD prospects they have, I doubt the NYR are as reticent to trade Schneider in this case as you all are. Miller is a huge add (and the Rangers are all over him) given his level of play and his contract, so from the Canucks perspective Schneider should be a given. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's the rest of the package will make or break the deal.

Hes my comparable to OEL in this instance. Its not like Nils would be coming in immediately. Bring him into training camp, pair him with OEL, and have myers play with hughes.

They tried Myers and Hughes together it didn't work. The Canucks are gonna have a ton of suiters for Miller especially at 50% retention, they aren't gonna settle on someone that doesn't fit

Actually I think Hughes can carry his own pairing, similar to Hedman in Tampa with Ruuta. I don’t think Canucks need to find a Hughes partner, they just needs a high end RHD. Lundkvist and Schneider would both fit in well with Van

The reason the Rangers wont trade Schneider (as per the interview with Trouba because he knows it) is hes the heir apparent to Trouba, and I firmly believe that he may end up being a captain of the NY Rangers in the next 4-5 years.

Its not like we dont want Nils, however we also have Zac Jones who is a very gifted offensive defenseman as well. Jones was successfully paired with Schneider in the AHL for the entire season up until this month when call ups were made due to COVID protocol. I wouldnt be surprised if this pairing of Jones/Schneider is what the organization wants to keep together for the future.

Are you high or something? Makar is literally a front-runner for the Norris.

I think hes being facetious about them having a top 4 of pretty much all offense.

It will probably come down to good old horse trading. I'm sure NYR would rather not move Schneider and I'm equally sure Vancouver probably wants him. It will come down to who wants to make the deal more I guess and what the overall package is. If its based on Lundqvist, I would expect Rutherford to ask for more than he would in a Schneider trade. Who blinks first??

Id rather add a mid pick or prospect than move Schneider.

Well if that's the case I don't think rookie 2 games played Schneider is the answer.
