Description

Swayman in a package with defenseman Mike Reilly would likely get Holland's attention as it would provide Edmonton with another solid d-man for their rotation who is signed for two more seasons, and land them a 23-year-old goalie of the future who has shown he's capable of winning NHL games right now. It would however create a giant hole in Edmonton's forward group that would need attention.

Swayman is going to be a solid goalie but Nuge just signed a 8 year team friendly deal who has been a big part of edmonton and means a lot to the team since they drafted him. Oilers need a starting goalie now, not risking everything on a rookie.

D man would have to be reilly++ or Gryzylk which wouldn’t make sense for either side tbh so no reason this would happen

No from the oilers.

Swayman is promising, but far from a sure thing. Oilers have very little offensive help as is. Moving a fan favourite in Nuge is not the play.
