    Why would the Canucks accept.

Why are the Canucks adding in this trade?

Copp would have to come with an extension in place as well

I feel like the Vancouver deal is quite close in value. Scheifele is better than Miller and boeser. Copp is worse than both. So the value would be close and deals all line up to expire with one another. I think take the picks out on vans side and add Stanley to jets side and it might get accepted. I mean a nucks fan suggested that above. Might take another pick on jets side to get it done but. Close.

100000%. Honestly take the picks out on VAN side and it’s still fair imo.

I’m good with Scheif+Copp+Stanley+3rd for Boeser+Miller but we might need to trade or buyout Wheeler to afford extensions
Send Beaulieu to Boston for a 3rd, recoup the one we give VAN or do this first then flip the BOS 3rd to VAN.
    Appleton for Harkins, no add
Personally, I don’t see a reason for Chychrun when we need an RD upgrade.
Schmidt+Heinola+Vesa+2nd to NJD for Severson and we get to keep our 1st.

    Connor-PLD-Boeser
    Perfetti-Miller-Ehlers
    Svech-Stastny-Appleton
    Toninato-Lowry-Reichel

    Morrissey-Severson
    Samberg-Pionk
    Dillon-DeMelo

I think at this stage I can more then confidently say that Maurice wasn’t the problem the whole time yet we were all too short-sited to realize that

He was part of the problem.
The other parts are Scheifele and Wheeler.
Until we address the 2 remaining issues, the Jets aren’t going anywhere.

I don't know that I would say Scheifele is currently better than Miller. As to the bolded, when Boeser's deal expires he's still an RFA and under team control. There's significant value with that, that I don't feel you're factoring in.

If I were Rutherford, I wouldn't consider it.

Value wise the Canucks deal might be close, but needs/contract wise it's bad for the Jets.

Outside of Beaulieu, the remainder of thedeals are just bad for Winnipeg. Especially the last one where the Jets are making a lateral move and paying a premium for a player they don't need.

no I do get boeser is an RFA. But scheifele is better than both of them. Now does that make up for Copp being worse than both of them? Idk, that’s why I said you probably need to add on winnipegs end.

You do realize we need to upgrade our RW and RD, right?
Keeping the status quote and doing nothing will accomplish absolutely zero.
These moves make the jets significantly better…except the Chychrun trade.
The VAN trade is a slight, but temporary, downgrade at C for a significant upgrade at RW.
The SEA trade is trading a bottom 6 LW, our position of strength, for a bottom 6 RW, our position of weakness.. so it’s a positive move.
As for Beaulieu, I’m all for anything that gets him away from my team.

Sure we could upgrade those spots, but here the Jets are paying a premium to stay the same or downgrade in skill just to change a left hand shot to a right one.

But we've gone through this before. You place more value on handedness over skill, while I place more value on skill and very little on which way they shoot.

Making changes for the right reasons and improving the overall team skill is great, making changes to lessen the overall skill but change the way a player shoots just to avoid the status quo isn't.
