FIXED ITBring Garland home and a 2C

Created by: Snowball
Team: 2021-22 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 29, 2022
Published: Jan. 30, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I’m not overly familiar with what every other team would want so picks and prospects could swap within reason but this gets conversation started. So this gets Boston a 2C with term and some RW help with term, Boston would still have to figure out some Defense additions for the playoff run. These are not probable but I think would be a good team for cup run.

Calgary is still in the playoffs but is going to have to make room for Mag, Tkachuk, and Johnny hockey contracts next year. If they’re still in come TDL time then they probably don’t move Monahan until the off season.

I see they were taking calls on Garland in VAN, I’m guessing they don’t move him, but I mean come on let the boy come back home

Folingo NMC makes it so he probably doesn’t move but that’s why I picked MIN, he can go play his last year with his brother, but with them likely in the playoffs they are not likely to take contract on. Why I picked Gaudreau, figured it was a contract MIN wouldn’t mind getting rid of and we compensate them salary difference with pick

AGAIN these are not likely but what I would like to see, some decent additions at the TDL without major future damage

You think Nucks give up Garland for a pile of trash?

Foligno has an NMC

Foligno didn't want to come to Minnesota. As bad freddy is, he's good defensively and is cheap! He goes back with Guerin and dean Evason. So for these three reasons, don't see freddy getting traded

You need a legit piece coming back for Garland. LOL "let the boy come back home". How about the Islanders letting Barzal come home for a 2nd, a cap dump, a bust, a long shot reserve lister and a 5th

There is not a single piece in that Garland deal that is worth anything to the Canucks. Can’t expect to turn that garbage into gold

Vancouver may be listening to other teams offers but that doesn't mean they are giving away players. Garland will cost a 1st +.

Literally top of the page: AGAIN these are not likely, not saying any of the trades are going to work, simply players that I think Boston should be looking into that make more sense then the major players like chychrun Miller pavelski

Thanks I think so to, I believe he’s probably going to be the one that gets ousted this year or offseason so they can fit everyone under cap up there

Monahan is a fringe 2C. Bruins need to do better.

He’s playing on a line with lucic, and dube, and he’s still a great player plenty capable of 2C, little pricey but do able, and I’m not saying he’s best option, bruins could do better but he’s also not gunna cost nearly as much as other options

Nope just trying to get people’s opinion on BOS taking Monahan and Garland over some of the “premier” TDL canidates

His offensive game has taken a big hit since 2019 and so does his production. Just put Coyle at 2C in this case. Also, he's overpaid at $6.375M. A real 2C is needed. It will cost more but it's better than just playing 5-7 games in Round 1.

Ya last couple years been little rough for him but I think putting him in between hall and pasta would give him some life, little over payed for sure, but only 1 year left then bruins can figure out what to do with him after that, definitely not the best option but I was trying to save bruins first rounders to help restock the youth
