There's no talk about adding, because Florida denies outright. They've got a real shot at the cup this year, they have no incentive to blow up a hugely important part of their team for Kasperi Kapanen of all players.

You would need to add a lot. Marino kapp would get it done. They would add something too

Love how this has come full circle, a couple years ago Leafs fans were telling Flames fans that they would have to add a ton in a Bennett - Kapanen swap. Now its the other way around with 2 different teams

Don't agree at all. Sam Bennett is scoring at like a 45-50 goal pace and he's under 4.5mil til 2025. Florida is gonna push the chips in to win in the next 3 years, and there's nothing they'd get back for Bennett that will provide that kind of cap value.

If you told me two years ago I'd be arguing that Sam Bennett at 4.5mil was one of the best value deals in the league, I'd have spat in your face tears of joy

I agree with you. I don’t know why I’m getting involved in this. My bad

doesn't this really depend on if the production is sustainable?
I'm not saying it is or it isn't at this rate. But it's like anything else when dealing with values and assets. Get out while you're ahead.
His PDO and shooting percentage are pretty high. I'm not sure how sustainable that is.

As a penguins fan I would love to see Bennett, he seems like a player who would have gained his confidence back if the flames had sent him here. I think the penguins are only looking to add a bottom pair dman and a backup, another winger, no matter how good he is, isn’t on their list.
And with all the kappy trades, if burkie was going to trade him, which I don’t think he will, he would probably go for a prospect. In my opinion( no matter how amateur) either McGinn or Heinen could fill in on the second line, and the penguins have an enormous amount of AHL players who have proved they can play roles in the show(Zahorna, Boyle, O’Connor, and Angello are the main ones)

I'm surprised he didn't end up in Pittsburgh Burke really likes him.
