Probably one place should be keep for Peterka. I don't know about Pens deal, but if Petersson is good on defense it makes sense.

No thanks on Middlestadt. There is no reason to just dump Pettersson.

I think that's a good deal for the Pens.

I’m trying to keep this roster competitive with some good veterans for both development and cap reasons. In that scenario I see peterka as first recall from Roch. Trying to find a defender is pretty difficult but I think from the mixed feelings from fans here it is pretty fair

You mean in the off-season it wouldn’t make sense? I just could see you guys capitalizing on one of your young goalies for a 1st

It would make more sense in the off-season

Can Mittlestadt play wing (as we would want him in top 6, as he isn't a bottom 6 player) and when does he come back from injury?

I wonder if BUF would take POJ for this instead. They would get a younger player on a cheap salary for their rebuild.

He has bounced around our lineup, so I believe he could play wing. Even if he is your 3C to start he would be good. Tbh he just needs to let his injury heal, I hope they shut him down for the year. He’s come back too early and aggravated his injury

I don’t think that’s crazy. I just assumed PIT may want to move Petterssons contract as they have some solid money on that blue line

I'm not really worried about their cap if they are moving zucker out. They would need to find probably 2 forwards next year if Rust leaves, Erod gone, then you add in zucker and you need 3 forwards.
So Mittelstadt coming in at 2.5 is fine to fill the 3rd line role. My thought would be add him, DeBrusk to be the 2LW and then just for someone to play 1RW and they would be set.
