Trades
1.
MIN
  1. Peterson, Jacob
  2. Stankoven, Logan
  3. 2023 2nd round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
If they aren’t able to resign Klingberg. It seems like they would have a hole at RD. 1 solid prospects and a NHL player who has been doing well and a mid round draft pick(s). Could be conditional based on Dumba’s performance. 2nd to start turns to additional 3rd in ‘24 with 30 points and or 21 TOI average.
2.
MIN
  1. Chychrun, Jakob
Additional Details:
Possible ‘22 deadline deal. But I kinda like it in the summer because a lot of the cap situation rides on Dumba and Fiala. And is Dumba willing to go a bit team friendly for 2 years during the worst of the storm.
ARI
  1. Khusnutdinov, Marat [Reserve List]
  2. Lambos, Carson
  3. 2022 1st round pick (MIN)
  4. 2022 3rd round pick (MIN)
Additional Details:
There is a good article on this situation. Gives Wild control through cap hell. Plus is less expensive and younger then Dumba. Marat could be subbed for Beckman. I added a 3rd because of the additional term to the contract might need to be a second, instead of a 3rd. Lambos could also be subbed for O’Rourke if Arizona prefers.
3.
MIN
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
This would help Buffalos goalie situation. Give some stability for young players/mentor. Cap really isn’t n issue for them. Possible a pick swap in ‘23 but not really sure about that possibly a 2nd though if Talbot plays great the rest of the year. That 2nd would most likely be Vegas in ‘23. With us sending a 3rd or 4th their way.
BUF
  1. Talbot, Cam
Additional Details:
If the Wild believe Kaapo is ready to take the starting job. As Jesper gets ready in the AHL. Ville is having a great year, but not sure teams will empty the bank account with a long term deal til he has shown what he can do for consecutive years.

I don't hate this but Chychrun scares me with his knee injury history. I don't know if it's wise to give that much up for him.

Also i believe Husso gets more.

Actually like this a lot. It's always hard to trade some prospects that you look forward to seeing in the future but to get a return like this I think it's very necessary.

That is about here I've been for a Chycrun trade. I just don't have the extra 3rd.

Yea I agree the 3rd for Chychrun might be a little much. I was thinking because he has term they might want a little bit more. I know he has some knee problems, but if he is healthy know I think it could be worth the risk.

I was wondering about Roy in LA. I believe he would be less expensive in terms of money and what we would give up. He would also fill the RD shot that Dumba leaves.

What do you think of the Dallas trade? Wasn’t 100% sure but think both teams would benefit from it?

DAL would likely be interested in Dumba, but I don't see them dealing Stankoven to a division rival. Not that I believe MIN would move Dumba to DAL any cheaper either so I dunno if there's a deal to be made here.

I’d rather sign somebody like Nutivaara and keep Stankoven. Ideally Harley can pick up some of the lost offense from Klinger

Don’t think the Sabres want to trade for a decent goalie THIS season…. why would be the point?
Don’t think we’re trying to finish with the 10th pick as opposed to a top5 one after all

MAYBE we’d trade for Talbot in the offseason, BUT only if we strike out on bringing in a decent UFA (like Holtby for example)

And if we did trade for Talbot in the offseason,
I don’t see ANY way we’d even consider giving up a 2nd
A 3rd might even be pushing it
