This is the main problem here. The oilers are giving up a 1st, Yamo, Foegele and Barrie and getting nothing that addresses their needs.

Hagel is extremely valuable and Strome is looking good again. I don't see the hawks giving up Hagel for a late first and if they move Strome it would likely be a yamamoto type of player but taking on Kassian's cap hit makes it less intriguing albeit understanding the AGM owner is trying to balance the Strome vs. Yamamoto value but Kassian is a big cap hit. Hawks likely decline for those reasons.

I do find it amusing that Oilers fans find Hagel and Strome useless yet both are above 0.5ppg on a poor team and both young RFA team controlled players.
