I don’t think this makes sense for Philly. If they want a straight rebuild, they have no interest in Myers. If they’re trying to win next season, they won’t be in a hurry to trade either player for picks. So what is Philly getting out of this?

I could maybe see a deal revolving around TK for Myers in order to address Philly’s D issues. I have difficulty seeing Sanheim moved at all unless they are burning it down (and I don’t think they are).

WOW, that is a terrible trade for EVERYONE. Like for all the bust titles being thrown on Kakko and Lafrenière everyone seems to want to get them... I don't remember any draft busts getting so much attention, like, could you imagine if there was a bidding war for Nail Yakupov? Kinda makes you think that huh, maybe these kids are not busts and are just KIDS LEARNING THE NHL...

They're both going to have long NHL careers because they're not one dimensional like Yakupov. The question remaining is will they be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd line players for the majority of those careers.

No, Sanheim is a defensive liability, any team would be crazy to give up a first for him. Myers's analytics are getting better, he's been an absolute revelation this season for Vancouver. He was actually good in his first season in Vancouver as well
