Without getting into the value of each player too much, I think VAN says no partly due to Petey playing C. Their C depth is none existent if he is gone.

well the idea would be having him instead of strome next year, i was more just throwing it out there to see what the value for each side would be

The Rangers are in a tough situation. A trade like this makes sense but the Rangers can’t afford it.

We can't afford his cap hit. Which, because Pete has fallen off a cliff, is not a good deal. He doesn't look good out there. Fun fact: he weighs 20lbs less than Mittelstadt.
