Thoughts on the value?

Tolvanen isn't necessarily for the play-offs, but he is a young struggling player with a cheap contract. Tolvanen is a player who could really benefit from playing with Florida, that will need cap space next year. NSH gets depth for playoffs in both defense and offence with Nutivaara and Vatrano alongside a decent prospect.

Nashville is in the midst of the playoff race, I cant see them moving those two young guys for 4 (some slightly lesser) pieces

The Chychrun and Kessel trade doesn't meet the rumored price. It lacks a high end prospect. Knight, Samoskevich/Tippett and 1st fits the bill. For Kessel the price is said to be a 2nd. With 50% retention maybe plus a 3rd, give or take.

I honestly can't see a better fit than Chychrun and Florida. They desperately need a top LHD, and he grew up in Boca Raton.

I’m confused by the Nashville trade vs explanation

Nashville gets playoff depth by trading young roster players for older roster players at the same positions plus an ok prospect. The roster players Nashville are trading are as good (Tolvanen) or better (Myers) than what they’re getting back. Just doesn’t work for us
