Probably a bit much for Namestikov.
Probably a bit much for gagner.
Calgary can't take Leddy without retention, they might have some interest though.
Horrible return for the islanders.

The Blues have less than zero use for that.

You've got some good ideas that need a little adjusting. This is just how I see things.

1. I don't know that Griess and Stecher get that type of return. You'd have to retain on Griess for sure and take back Turris/similar as a cap dump to make the money work.

2. You should be able to get at least a 4th for Staal.

3. Who knows, there might be a bidding war for Namestnikov but if not a 2nd is probably the most he brings in.

4. Perfect.

5. We would have to retain on Leddy. That should easily bring us a 2nd if he's healthy. Drop the 2 fourths going to Calgary.

6. I love the trade but I can't see the Islanders going for it. Your going to have to up the ante.

Again, this is only my opinion.

Islanders will get a much better offer for Varlamov from Edmonton that will include at least a second-round draft pick, plus a better player in all likelihood.

Uhhh are you missing a piece in the Edmonton deal? Greiss is worth at most a 3rd. Stetcher is getting you a 5th rounder or later...sooooooooooo not sure where the two 2nds come into play.

Greiss and Stecher aren't returning no 2 2nd round picks, Namestnikov at best returns a 3rd round pick. Staal has stated numerous times that he's not waiving his NMC. Gagner at best either gets a 5th or 6th round pick. And no freaking way is Detroit including 2 4th round picks on top of Leddy to get a 2nd round pick back. And we don't need Varlamov.
