Florida is losing Tippett because of their cap situation and they are bringing in even more cap hits? I just don’t see that.

I was thinking that tippet isn’t that vital in Florida and could use a change of scenery

No, you're 100% right that Florida will be looking to trade him, but the reasoning I believe is behind it is they can't really afford to give him a raise this offseason because of the Yandle buyout. He'll get moved but likely for picks or prospects instead of bringing money back in.

Sabres aren't going to trade Levi for anything short of an extreme overpay

As a Caps fan, I would like this provided either Oshie or Mantha are staying on LTIR until the playoffs otherwise they can't afford the difference. I would even give the Devils a higher draft pick like a 3rd at least. A change of scenery might benefit both players...

Florida passes. You could drop the 2nd to make the trade more enticing

Subban and Vesey are both expiring

Subban and Vesey are both rentals, so no change to next year

Daws, Clarke, 2nd is pretty darn close to an extreme overpay.

While I think it is close to fair value it isn’t an extreme overpay since Devon Levi looks like he is going to be an elite, vezina-caliber goalie. I went for fair value not extreme overpay because Buffalo has 2 high potential goalie prospects

Agreed. I don't know, probably have to be a top 4 right d coming back, or it's not worth it. It's not the value, goalie prospects don't hold a ton of value anyways, but we don't have a good reason to move him.

Don’t think they trade Levi especially they way their goalies have been getting hurt the last 2 years plus he’s really the only big piece from the Reinhart deal.

Devils shouldn't do that Boeser trade.
Very risky to give up a 1st ++ for an underperforming scoring winger with limited teamcontrol.
