Description
Miller is exactly what Ottawa needs to shuffle each player down the lineup for 5on5, PP, and PK.

All of a sudden Pinto doesn't have a place with Miller, Stutzle, Norris occupying the C position.

The big piece for Canucks is JBD, but the Sens still look good on the right side with Brannstrom, Zub, and Thompson all still young. (Zub is 26, but peaking late).

1st is a given in any Miller trade but given the season Ottawa has had so far, I think it would be top 10 protected with Ottawa having the option to either keep or give at the end of the year.

Miller goes to a Playoff team, Not a Non-Playoff team.

For a while the league has been considered to have very high parity. Last year it seemed to not exist much but there was also the excuse of only playing against your division. This year the parity does not seem to exist much at all and I feel like as the cap starts to go up again it may stay like that for some time.

To my point, a team like Ottawa who is clearly not close to competing for at least 2 more years as they draft and develop more young players is not going to waste those assets on a guy who doesn't even have 2 more years of term

That’s an extreme overpay by Ottawa. EXTREME . Pinto is our 2nd best prospect and JBD is going to be a top 4RD. And a 1st round pick. Ain’t no way boy

Doesn’t matter if we were close to competing or not, this is a very big overpay. Go ask Rangers for Schneider + Othmann and a 1st and see what they say

Idk who those players are, but ya Ottawa shouldn’t trade futures for Miller

Pinto is good enough to be our 2C. JBD is like Brandon Carlo looking.

They aren't there yet in their development, don't get ahead of yourself

You can have your opinion and I have mine. He finished off the year as our 2C and was great on both ends of the ice.

I see Pinto as more of a 3C than a 2C, but yeah
