He still stinks.
He’s still overpaid.
The bruins still have a third line center they’re trying to play at second line center.
They’re still giving up a first round pick for junk.

This is still bad, regardless of whether or not you heard on some podcast that dvorak is good.

You are crazy, he was picked up for his faceoffs and hes still one of the best at that. You cant really say much about other stats since the leading goal scorer on the habs has like 9 goals and it was from a waiver wire. You have to look at his uses as well as his history at that age. I can see the argument with Petry since he isnt in that 24-32 y/o sweetspot, but Dvorak is still quite young.

Or just look at his entire career.
Never 20 goals
Never 40 points
Not even a half point per game player.
Being solid at face offs doesn’t make someone a 2C, or worth a first round pick.

He’s an okay third line center/LW who is good at face offs. His best use is a third line LW, playing with a right shot center so that dvorak can take draws on his strong side.

He’s overpaid for that. Significantly.

Where he got the powerplay time that he would never got on a good team (where a boat load of his points came from). He’s just not a top six guy, no matter how bad you want him to be.

I mean look at Danault and that will explain your misunderstanding of the game. Get off your high horse bud because youre fighting a losing battle.

You mean a guy that has three top ten selke finishes? Different conversation, different player, and still probably a third line center…even though he’s significantly better defensively and offensively.

I think you just proved my point.

Walsh has been one of the best defenders in the AHL this season so far, and is the only RHD prospect Devils got with second pairing upside.
And Graves has been really good for the Devils this season throughout.
Vaakanien might not even be half the value of those two guys.
Devils easy decline.

Danault last 3 years in MTL he played at a .60 PGP pace

Huh? You guys are also forgetting that the two are 3 years apart. Still room to develop even towards the peak. Cant use this season as an accurate judgment. You of all people should know with Taylor Hall on Buffalo vs Hall on Boston.
