Devils aren't moving Holtz for Boeser. He's cheaper, younger, and likely has a better shot already.

@nhn1405 How would you feel about Hughes for Kadri? Probably a no, right? Same idea here; Byram's not going anywhere.

I am not a twitterer, what do they say?

Some want Boeser for a 2nd, Zacha for Boeser straight up, Q Hughes and Boeser for a 1st and a prospect or two. Typical Twitter garbage

Okay, I'll just take these in order.

1- A terrible return for Miller + retention, if only because Nyram is having major concussion issues. They can do way better.

2- I doubt the Avs want to move Barron and losing Compher hurts their forechecking/depth.

3- At first glance, I was thinking this is an excessive ask... but maaan, the way NJ's goalie situation is, mmm it's not the craziest thing ever seen. Still, I highly doubt they offer up Holtz for two sell low guys.

4&5-Even before we discuss value, the Caps have almosy no cap to work with. Beyond that, I think you can do better for Garland.

6- The Devils could take that and run. I can see it.

7- A fair enough trade, I think. Not sure they take it, but it's reasonable and they can spare those pieces.

                  8- Heh. That's not happening.

9- Honestly, I don;t know where Philly's head is at. They have been in season long distress, so who knows what they'd do here?

10- That's a bad return in my opinion. Lots of teams can do better.

11- I doubt Toronto goes for that, and again cap space is a big issue.

If it took 0.003 seconds to come up with a trade idea in a tweet, chances are low that it’s an intelligent one.

3-Holtz wouldn’t be part of trade for Boeser or Garland.
                  6-Neither will their 1st

I think they would move some good assets, but I think 1st or Holtz is probably where the line gets drawn.

Easy no on both those trades for the Avs.

Fully agree on Holtz. They should not consider dealing him. Not so convinced on the 1st if they get top 10 protection, but the return has to be gooood.

The problem with top-10 protection is if that rolls to an unprotected 2023 1st….that could be really bad news.

I think we just avoid dealing the 1sts altogether. We’re not there yet.

I hear ya, but guys like Garland and Boeser are still pretty young, legit impact players. It's not like they're near/over 30.

When you’ve seen your number pulled as much as we have in lottery…can’t be trading those picks.

Heh. Nothing last forever. But I hear ya, the Devils tend to do quite well with their 1sts.

I could see the first trade Byram for JT if Byram doesn't come back this season. Very reminiscent of Hishon BUT they would have know it's a Hishon deal. No ifs or butts. If Byram can be healthy no way I do that trade. As for the second I could see it if you remove Barron. I hear on the wire that Phi wants Ranta not Barron. Do compher or Jost(more like Jost if you ask me), ranta and a 1st and that gets the deal done.
