To be honest I don't think Montreal have any interest in trading Jake Evans. His value for Montreal is too big for them to trade him for some picks. For Lehkonen, I feel like if he doesn't get traded this TDL then he won't be traded in the off season. His value is just better right now, so it wouldn't make sense to trade him at the end of the season.

So what do you think his price is right now?

Can't see Evans being shopped, cost controlled and as reliable as they come for this price tag. Lehkonen is only being dealt because we might be selling at the very peak of his value (Clutch in playoff, one more year of cost control OR a rental as you like and elite defensively for what he's getting paid).
Most CF trades are a 2nd and a B/B- prospect but who knows what he's worth IRL. Your 2nd this year is very high so that might be enough I guess?

The Hu-Go Bosses' vision includes better skating and puck movement, and the organizational needs are C and RD.

Lehkonen could well be part of that, but his value is currently at a peak, so offers have to be considered.

Evans is someone who's value is simply better to the team than in a trade. He's not untouchable, but he is a solid player that would require some convincing to part with.

You're basically looking at young players/prospects with potential, which also happen to be what Buffalo is building around, so they are unlikely partners.
At best, you could come up with a lateral move. Evans for a RD, Lehkonen for a RD or C.

Hard to say since if im Montreal i try to go for prospect and Buffalo shouldn't trade them, but id aim for someone like alexander Kisakov + a pick id say (prob 3rd)

I know people think he isn't worth that, but that would be what I would want from Buffalo

I wonder why you are interested in these players. I understand that these are probably good players, but our main needs are mainly in other positions.

Hard to put a price on Evans tbh. Habs like him a lot.
Lehkonen would probably cost JJ Peterka

First thing I did was to look at RD and C under team control for 3 more years, like Evans.

Jokiharju and Mittelstadt could be appealing for Montreal but would need to add. I don't know why BUF would do that though.

As for Lehkonen, BUF has no reason to overpay a low 1st or a high 2nd like a contender would.

I really don't know. I guess I just like the way they play, and wondered if Montreal was in the market to sell them.

1st / 1st round caliber prospect + 2nd / 2nd round caliber prospect, for each of them . Habs add late round pick.
    For Example:

    Lehkonen + 4th for 1st + Laaksonen
    Evans for 1 of Quinn / Peterka + 2nd.

These are overpayments, but habs aren't interested in trading them unless overpayments.
    Have a good day.

    Mittelstadt.

or if lehky isn't moved prior to the deadline and you want his RFA rights, prob a 2nd + B prospect
Evans I could see being moved for a 3rd

Well good for you to be able to recognize players who play "the right way" (defensely conscious and never take a shift off) .

That kind of player is usually overlooked because they don't put up a lot of points but they prevent a lot of goals and drag the rest of the team by their discipline.

Byron is another one of those (thus why he has an A on his jersey) and he would be a better fit for a BUF trade. Just saying.
