Whether people agree with it or not - it was the right decision. Hindsight is always 20/20.

Part of that move was to sway Seattle away from Kerfoot, that paid off pretty well that no one mentions.

Leafs are looking for a top 4 right handed defenceman to add before the deadline (have been looking for a bonafide one for over a decade), letting Holl go for nothing only makes the need for 2 right handed defenceman even more. Something that would cost through the roof to get - if they had to get 2 top 4 defenders this year it’d cost at least Amirov, Robertson, Knies, and a 1st.. something that threatens the future.

Relax.

There’s also the part where if they planned on exposing Holl they would’ve protected Kerfoot. Meaning the need for McCann wasn’t there.
We might never have acquired him.

Everyone likes to pretend they’re geniuses.
Hindsight has that effect (I still don’t know the difference between affect and effect. Don’t flame me for my grammar lol).

Edit: I couldn’t agree with you more.

Affect is used as a verb, effect is used as a noun. In this case, effect is 100% correct and you are also 100% correct on everything you said.

Well done!

They could’ve kept kerfoot and mccann, and traded mccann for a defenceman who is way better than Justin Holl, or they could’ve just done Muzzin-liljegren which has been better than Muzzin-holl all season. It was never a good decision. Holl had a good season the year prior, so I understand the logic, and because they needed a top 4 RD, and those don’t grow on trees, but they could’ve gotten a better defenceman than Holl in a trade involving mccann or something.

Hindsight is 20/20.

It was definitely the right decision to protect Holl.

Affection is the one that really messes people up. As it is a noun describing what’s typically a verb.

Anyway I also very much agree.

English is stupid anyways. Different ways to spell words that sound the exact same but have different meanings.. it’s no wonder it’s the hardest language in the world to learn

As stated before. The leafs have been trying to acquire a top 4 RHD forever. So your opinion that the leafs could have acquired someone else doesn’t have much weight. Keeping Holl was smart. Holl still has great value today. And if the Leafs decide to move him, the ACGM world will lose their mind with the return.

“Bomb" rhymes with "calm" and "Tom" but not "comb" or "tomb." "Some" rhymes with "numb" but not "home."

Would have made 0 difference. McCann gets more opportunities in Seattle. In Toronto 3rd line is where he would be.

Cause has offense been the problem...NO

Its been defense lul. And Holl is a defenseman. So losing him could have ended very badly for us. As last year he was good, the year before really good. This year on and off.

People complain to much these days

We got bunting on 950k relax
