Rakell and Kapenen are not an even swap lol One is a top 6 center/wing and the other is a 3rd liner.

Caps decline. They don't need LHD or a 3rd liner that's getting paid $5M+

It makes sense for the Pens, but doesn't make sense for the Ducks. Good futures make sense for the Ducks, which Hextall has said aren't on the table.

he's gonna be 33 next season, that contract is long, and frankly he's more likely to be an 8mil cap disaster. Want no part of that.

Hextall has to change his mind. He said that as the season was starting and now this team could go on a deep run. He has already said that they need a winger for malkin

I'd do Kapanen + 2nd + Lagere. I think that's pretty fair considering Rakell is a UFA and Kapanen is an RFA

Meh. IMO there's just no need for Kap. Legare is fringy at best, and the 2nd is likely late. Honestly, Verbeek *should* be going for quality over quantity, even if that means it's just a 1st.

WSH would need more + different assets for Carlson. Preferably a 1RD back (one that isn't named Letang), or picks and an RD prospect (think a return such as Durzi and picks) (hypothetically since LA likely wouldn't be interested in Carlson)
