While I think that’s a pretty fair offer for Dvorak , especially it almost recoups what Montreal traded to get him, I think they still hold on to him as a centre . There’s no one else who can take on 2C so while it’s a legitimate offer, I think habs pass.

I've been trying to do one with a similar approach. But I feel like Toews retiring is a bit too speculative at this point to be realistic. I was also thinking of a scenario where maybe Kane gets surgery over the summer and ends up taking next season off, allowing CHI to make a few big acquisitions before they draw up his next contract. But whatever his mystery injury is, a whole season of recovery is also too speculative. Another one I was trying to envision was convincing some of the big fish UFA's to take 1 year super affordable contracts with a handshake deal that they will get more favorable contracts after next season with some nice signing bonuses or something, when Kane and Toews contracts are up. But again, everything is speculative and I'm sure none of the big fish want to do anything like that or at least their agents wont. Maybe I'll just do it anyway and let all the haters fill the comments section. haha

I feel like Toews thing is too speculative now, but by July/August...it might not be. Then a Kadri or I was thinking a 1 year Malkin deal where he gets his $ and the Hawks at worst can flip him at the TDL with 50% retention..

For sure. I wonder what kind of contract Kadri will be looking for. If he played every season like he has been this season he could probably get 10mil+ but considering his age and production from previous seasons that would be way too much. ****, If you remove this season from his career, 8 is too much.

What is exo, btw? It wouldn't happen to be referencing the video game Destiny, would it? I feel like I may have already asked you this at some point. But every time I see your name I think of that game.

No there isn't anything behind the name. It's a very old random generated user name provided to me for something two decades ago, but it stuck because I kinda liked it and no one else has it.

It's certainly speculative, but it's also reasonable given his concussion history and how much he cares about his body. So there's definitely reason for speculation. It's going to be an interesting off-season for him.
