If thats your price on Lehkonen, why not just keep him? Hes young and fits the timeline.

I was wondering what was taking so long. Petry to Detroit trades have decreased recently. Only 1 per 5 hours now. Used to be 1 per 5 minutes. Are you Habs fans feeling ok? Oh wait I get it now. You lost last night to the Jets.

I always liked Lehkonen. I'd be interested in trading for him.

Exactly this. This is close to the garbage these Habs ACGM's have been the equivalent of (although an expensive, over the hill Petry is worse)

This is comical. Red Wing fans are always up in arms over any Petry trade. The whole MTL roster has been pretty brutal this year, until under St. Louis. Petry hasn't been able to settle in while taking on a 1D role. Can't see Detroit making a playoff push either, so this cockiness of the fan-base is absurd. Credit is where it's due (for the team, not the fans), the Red Wings have been playing good hockey and have really good young players.

McIsaac is 2nd Rd Dman that may not even play in the NHL.
2nd Rd Pick might amount to nothing.

Here are some Erne vs Petry stats (last 3 seasons):

    Erne
    GP: 154
    +/- : -46
    Pts: 38
    SOG: 206

    Points Per Game: ~25%
    Shots Per Game: 1.34

    Petry
    GP: 173
    +/- : -13
    Pts: 94
    SOG: 356

    Points Per Game: ~54%
    Shots Per Game: 2.06

You could play Petry at forward and he'd more effective than Erne.

How pathetisad that you think because someone says no over and over again they must be arrogant. I'm sure you've heard no enough to know that sometimes they're just not that into you...

Nice, that was good. It's not so much the declining that the arrogance comes from, it's more of the responses and saying how the wings would never do it. Sure the Petry trades over and over and over again get annoying, but when it comes to a value like this...the Wings gain more than they lose. The only reason why habs fans are bringing Petry to wings is because of the nhltraderumours article about the wings showing interest. No one knows if they are true or untrue, but you can't be confident that the wings would turn every offer down.

Detroit doesn't need another RHD if he came to Detroit he'd be competing with Stecher for a spot in Detroit's 4th pair.
