Rutta is better than Chara and Holl. This doesn't make sense.

Imo all trades here are major overpayments.

I drop in to say Holl shouldn't be 1st pairing then I realize he's playing with Hedman and that anything is possible.

Strange, some Leaf fans think Holl should be given away and he is fan of the Cup champs thinking all would be a good addition.
Leafs aren't trading Holl, because he's fair value and the Leafs need him playing 20 minutes a game

Rutta is better than Holl. He meshes well with Hedman. There's no reason for JBB to make this trade.

I agree the package is good. But how does that help Toronto now? They are in win now mode. So unless they take these assets and package for something bigger, not much point. Also trading to a division rival, one that we are likely to meet in the first round… doesn’t seem like a great idea.

The Leafs have eight NHL Dmen. Muzzin is injured and hasn't bee effective this season. So trading Holl the Leafs are down to six NHL Dmen. Then they have to go shopping for another one ,even it's anyoverpayment for Holl
