I don’t think your getting Byram unless the Avs are really worried about his health

they are not trading him and JT Miller is not the avs missing piece, they "arent winning the cup" bc they traded for Miller
They dont have to trade Byram to get him

These Miller prices are just out of control, teams are not sacrificing core pieces for a 1 year rental bc no contender is paying his UFA price

Dude wdym? It’s J.T Miller we’re talking about here. Plus he’s got another year on his deal. Teams are gonna have to pay that kind of price if they want him

How is Miller a 1 year rental? Also he’s a 29 year old elite first line talent who can play wing or centre, kills penalties, great on the pp, hasn’t had injury problems, and has great leadership qualities. Teams have to really pay up if they want that kind of talent especially since he has another year left on his deal.

He has 1 year left on his contract....that avs cant extend bc he will be a UFA costing too much

Hence a 1 year rental, a very common phrase.

And no miller is not worth Byram. Jack Eichel a top 3-5 talent in the league couldn't get a byram level prospect. On what planet is miller going to as a soon to be Pending UFA going into his 30s.

Jack eichel had injury concerns and he was demanding a trade out of Buffalo. That fact depreciated his trade value immensely. Also eichel isn’t top 3-5 even fully healthy. Miller has been a top 15 forward this year.

Also you can call him a “1 year rental” all you want but the reality is you have him for 2 playoff runs. Like you realize he’s signed through next year right?

have a good night, there is no point continuing responding to you if you cant understand the concept of what a very common term in a 1 year rental is.

Bro the term “1 year rental” is extremely misleading like you have him for 2 playoff runs. For the avs playoffs are what matters who cares that he wasn’t there for the first part of this season, if you trade for him you’ll have 2 years of JT Miller

McDavid, MacKinnon, Matthews, Draisitl, Kucherov, Crosby, Barkov, Huberdeau, Rantanen, Marner, Pasternak, Marchand, Panarin, Kaprisov, Stone are 15 guys off the top of my head that are all better than Miller. And Eichel is better and way more valuable than him the fact BUF completely butchered everything with him doesn’t change the fact.

I think Pens would be more interested in Luke Scheen from Vancouver. Maybe Luke Scheen and a 3rd or 4th Kappy.

JT Miller is a good player, but he’s overrated according to analytics and even more by Canuck’s fans. Byram has the upside to be a top 20 defensemen in the league for years to come and that just isn’t an asset you give away without getting a player who you absolutely love which I’m guessing isn’t Miller given how analytically driven the Avs are
