If you want to pry out Klingberg from a division rival, it's going to cost you Justin Barron + 1st round pick. This is far from enough.

That's way too much for Kane. I'm not a fan of his anyway - you're paying for name value more than actual on ice results. He's good offensively but is among the worst forwards in the league defensively

On the other hand you're underpaying for Klingberg

avs are not bailing the hawks out by kick starting their rebuild.
Kane isnt worth half of that

This is an easy decline and they are not trading byram, good grief

Kane has full NMC and would pick where he wants to go. So the trade cost would be a lot less. Would still have to pay for the retention though.

(Think Taylor Hall picking Boston last year
