If you honestly truly want to know what a Mrazek to the Hawks trade looks like...Just go look at their history.

Brett Connolley...$3.5M...2.5 years left. Sound pretty familiar! Currently plays in the AHL...where Mrazek will go. It cost a 1st round prospect, and 2nd round prospect and a late pick. That's just to dump Mrazek. If you want MAF and CDH...it'll cost a lot more.

You need two teams to say yes, and CHI isn't the team to be dumping Mrazek onto. CHI will appropriately charge you an arm and a leg. Go work something out with AZ. They took ladd for (2) 2nds and a 3rd.

The thing is, those players aren't equal and Bowmans gone. You're right, Hawks aren't the team for that cap dump

They're pretty close, but true that Bowman's gone. What would you add/subtract to make it a yes for the Hawks.

It's hard to predict the future, but are you upset with the return he got for Connolley? Stillman's pretty good imo. I'm trying to be fair to other team's prospects. I'm sure you've seen Steeves play a bunch at UND...he's pretty decent too.

i think arizona should only accept a Mrazek dump if they can make the conditions on one of the picks as confounding as they did with the Ladd 3rd rounder

I didn't like the connely trade in the moment and still don't like it. Never have been a fan of all the reclamation projects. Just get draft picks. Strome is the only reclimation project that has even remotley worked out for us, and to be honest, did we even win that trade? probably not

I'm against taking on bad money unless it's a one year deal. I'd rather use it in FA to sign and flip someone or be a salary broker at next years TDL. I like Stillman he's fine, but I don't see him being a top four guy and don't like the trade we made. We also threw in Carlsson who's looked better since the trade
