If anything Vancouver should be paying. Meier is above and beyond the better player and it isn't even close.

Obviously this is brutal for San Jose. But I wouldn’t say that Meier is above and beyond the better player and that it’s not even close

Meier isn't better, but he is younger. As @mv21227 said, it's brutal, but at this moment Miller is better. But in the long run Meier has more value with the first and third

A younger point per game player with another year before being an rfa is somehow a top 10 pick plus another puck less than Miller is FAT stretch. Meier being the better player is more feasible than saying he’s that much less than Miller.

I agree saying Meier is the better player is much more feasible than saying he’s worth that much less than Miller
