Why would Offersheet that Eetu guy?
Why would we sign Mikheyev?
Why would the Islanders pay a second for Dickinson?
Why are we playing Podkolzin on the fourth line?

-Eetu Luostarainen is insane
-Jim said we need more speed on the team Mikhaeyev is speed
-Islanders want to fit now and Dickinson fits trots' system
-Depth! It's something the canucks have always sucked with (injuries are inevitable and I'd rather have to play a 3rd line guy on the 4th line when 100% healthy than a 4th on the 3rd when an injury happens)

No way Isles pay a 2nd. I'd be grateful for a 5th

I had Luostarainen and Mikheyev as perfect targets and that exact Boeser extension in mind. I agree ARI probably claims Poolman off waivers and Dickinson potentially being a fit with NYI (but for way less). The Pearson deal is interesting but I wonder if we could get them to include Dorofeyev instead of the picks. UFA signings aren't good though.

I need another depth forward I think from UFA I thought Barabanov could be solid energy guy or bring back Chaisson but overall I feel like we need a dman and Lyu was the best guy we could get without risking another Poolman/Myers situation

I think RHD will be a priority for Canucks management this offseason, probably by trade (Boeser/Garland). Signing guys like Manson or even Zadorov could be a possibly too.

yeah probably in the 4th/5th range. Bad fit here. He still should be of value elsewhere.
Poolman is a dump. Bad signing.

I like signing Mikh and think Luostarainen is a good target

How does Dickinson fit the Trotz system and how does he help them win now? Islanders want to win now so they should add a 12th forward making close to 3 mill, really don’t get this logic.

The truth is Vancouver would have to add a sweetener to dump Dickinson on the isles.

Dickinson traded from DAL to VAN for a 3rd he was an rfa.
Proceeds to have a terrible season.
He is currently signed at a higher cap hit than hes worth.
VAN trades him to NYI for... a 2nd?

Explain this one to me, please

After Tucker Poolman I can't see them spending cap on a Defensive dman

Dickinson would be a bottom 6 winger on a team with the following guys already signed next year: Cal Clutterbuck ($1.75M), Matt Martin ($1.5M), Richard Panik ($1.375M), Ross Johnston ($1.1M), and Zach Parise ($750K). If they really wanted to upgrade that group, there are guys available in UFA who would sign for a comparable deal to Dickinson's without costing a 2nd rounder.

I mean probably in a trade targeting someone like Marino with Boeser/Garland.
