That's peak value for Konecny. Idk if WSH goes for it.

I’d like this. Maybe a bit of an overpay for Konecny?

The odds of Carl Fletcher trading Travis Konecny within the division is extremely doubtful. He'd be traded to an Atlantic opponent before a Metro foe.

Canucks are trying to create capspace don't think they'd take Hagelin without sending cap back (Dickinson or Poolman)

Don’t think Buffalo will be interested in Eller
Our Top9 Centers moving forward are lined up to be:
Tage Thompson, Dylan Cozens, Peyton Krebs & Casey Mittelstadt- with one of them bumped to the Wing

Now if we were bringing in a Center who’s an obvious upgrade & would slot into the top6, then maybe that makes sense
But Eller is a 3C
And i just don’t see him as a fit that we really need

Buffalo might consider this, we might need a decent defensive center at bottom 6.

Theres no chance the habs give that kind of return for statistically one of the worst goalies in the league.

We are still missing a high end center as a #1. The group that you mentioned has middle 6 centers, if they grow their 2 way game. Depending on how that goes, maybe they grab a defensive center for the bottom 6. I think I would wait to see how the current group does first though.

I suppose Eller could take the defensive line Center role between Okposo & Girgs…. But he’s not great at faceoffs
So unless they see him as a clear upgrade over Girgs or Asplund at 4C, then i don’t really see the fit
Maybe though?

Maybe. It's only one year, so salary doesn't matter. Is a 3rd too much, it feels expensive for an aging guy making 3.5 that we would use on our 4th line.

That’s my point too, i agree
My assumption is the “4th” line next year will be:
Asplund-Girgs-Okposo
But if they don’t like Girgs or Asplund at Center (they’ve been stuck on the wing bc of Eakin after all, so it’s possible), then Eller might make sense in the defensive center role
Does it make sense for a 3rd though?
Idk about that either

I’d say it’s a “maybe” though
If it’s dropped to a 4th round pick then it might be a bit more worth it, even for just 1 season

It potentially does as he will probably never come off LTIR
