Yikes. No way Muzzin is worth his 5.6m contract for the next two years. Doubt if Pens have the cap for Nylander without sending cap to the Leafs. Really you've offered a third rounder for Crouse.
Mrazek was on waivers, unclaimed, why does Buffalo now trade for him?
You're right, Muzzin's not. But LA needs a veteran presence along with Doughty on the blueline for all the young guys coming up. Leafs can retain if needed.
Pens can afford it, as long as they don't overpay Malkin and Letang this off season. ARI would be more than happy to take on Zucker to help them get to the cap as well, which I think PIT is ready to pay for.
BUF didn't need Mrazek this year since they're trying to finish as low as possible. But next year, with UPL probably coming up and most likely Anderson retiring, they need a veteran guy to help him along. Couple that with kids like Power coming up that are used to winning, they need to start showing they're invested. I know Mrazek is not "that" guy to lead them to the promised land, but he can play some solid minutes while Power / Krebs / Cozens / Thompson / Dahlin / Quinn grow into high end NHLer's. BUF is not attracting a top end goalie via UFA or Trade at this point, so Mrazek is a short term option.
Crouse is probably a dream, but it seems that both he and ARI might be ready to move on. You're right the offer is probably a little low, but nothing on here is set in stone.
Selling low on Nylander, cause his 200 ft game with never improve. PIT is a good landing spot and it allows for us to give Soup a top 6 roll for half the price and Robertson a shot to prove he belongs.
I love this third line........it's in the TB mold that can drive a team to a Stanley cup. Spezza gets resigned cause he's still a great leader and I want to see him hit 1000 points. I think Steeves already good to go at an NHL level, and can spend his first year rotating in between the NHL and AHL.
This also gives us room at the deadline for a couple key acquisitions should things not work out.
