Muzzin wouldn't get his current contract if he was a free agent, can't see a team paying to take him unless there is retention.

Sabres pass imo
U aren’t offering us much value to take Mrazek,
who we clearly wouldn’t “want”
Tver berg is an ok prospect, but the rest is pretty “meh”

I think it’ll cost u guys (at least) a 2nd to get rid of him

I don't know...if you wait until July 2nd, he's only owed $6 mil over 2 years. Cap hit isn't great, but the value is still there. Guy has continued to put up positive possession number while playing with Holl. As a non-Leafs fan, I'm pretty confident someone would bite.

LMAO, why the **** would Buffalo do that? Yup, realistic for a leaf fan I guess, not for any of the other 31 NHL teams.

Los Angeles doesn't want Jake Muzzin back any more than we want Tanner Pearson back. We would, however, like Erik Cernak back.

Not sure San Jose wants organization depth pieces for their starting goalie. Would have to think they ask for higher quality players

Kings aren't exactly a small market team, they are looking to be playoff bound this year (and hopefully the next few), a $5.6M Cap hit per annum isn't worth it to me.

What team do you think would sell two 3rd rounders for Muzzin at that cap hit?

yea that would get them Hill not Reimer.
besides Reimer is better in SJ, he just plays really well here.
sharks should keep Reimer and deal Hill.

I don't know, I mean, there were a bunch of teams that just blew my mind giving up a heck of a lot more for a heck of a lot worse. In fairness, as a non-Leafs fan, I don't think they should be moving Muzzin anyway, because as soon as they do, they'll be like "Oh crap, we need a shut down LD". Is the cap hit a bit restrictive? Meh. If that's the one that f*cks you, you've probably got bigger fish to fry. I mean, he's also got a NTC, so there's that. But honestly, he'd be one of the last guys that I'd be thinking about moving.

Absolutely agree that they shouldn't be moving him if they don't have a shut-down 2LD ready. But my issue is with his current value, with his concussions and injury issues and age, I don't think teams will be lining up. His injuries and play I feel that it might be starting to downgrade a bit, he might bounce back. Personally, I would rather re-up Edler at his current rate or look elsewhere than trade for Muzzin, even if he waived his NTC.

Lol, a bad stretch is usually just washed as a bad stretch.....unless it's a leaf player, then it's a massive decline and the player is worthless and will cost multiple 1sts to move. Muzzin is far from done.

I mean, this isn't just crap on the Leafs talk. We are well aware of who Muzzin is, he played 500 regular season / 50 playoff games with us.

He has the second worst plus/minus on the leafs, declined in points, declining possession numbers, declining PDO, multiple concussions and injuries, he's 33 and signed for more years. I don't think I am saying something outlandish saying he isn't living up to his contract so far. Also he has a NTC (which takes away all the Leafs bargaining power)

I still think teams like him Gm's arent very smart. Plus kings are looking to make a run have cap space and nostalgia is one hell of a drug

I see the sharks dealing Reimer. He's much older than the 2 goalies they have and not good enough to try and make a run with him. Hill and kahkonen are 2 solid youngsters

Also Muzzin only has a 10 team trade list not a full NMC I believe. I could be wrong on that but I think thats the case. I also see LA being on their he still has his house and freinds their

Trading an older player to re-sign an even older player would be very “Leafs”

Sabres also have to get to the cap floor and Mrazek has shown in the past he's a good goalie. You also get a 3rd and 5 B level prospects. Thats pretty good
