Don't worry, someone else will overpay for Strome.

If it's just money, IMO Strome and Copp can get at least elsewhere. Not on as good a team as the current Rangers, but some teams with good potential very soon.....Sens, Wings, Sabres and New Jersey.
Maybe the Rangers. are kinda "capped out" with 43m going to five players.

Yeah they gotta pay Laf after next season too, and I think that Kakko deal is pretty low, considering Blais with his much worse production is getting more.

I can't speak for all teams you mentioned, but Buffalo could easily chuck 5.5Mx4 at him and not bat an eye.

Then just remove it before the city of Buffalo puts you through a table

All of those teams have plenty of cap now and going forward. Especially the three in Atlantic, they could be good very soon. Copp is from Michigan....maybe a Wing. Strome from southern Ontario....Sens and Sabres certainly have a spot for them in the lineup. I think Jersey just might be the front runner for Gaudreau.
Leafs got top heavy with their signings and now are going to have trouble keeping their secondary players due the flat cap. Rangers just might be in the same position.

My best guess is Copp 6x5m
Kakko 2x2.5m
Blais 1x1.6m
3LD 1x1.25m
2G 1x1.25m

That's the one thing I dislike about AGMs w/ my team. If I see a bad trade, I also see the same 5 BUF fans jumping down their throat at once. I think the poor guy gets it after the first or second comment >.>

Eh, I think they have slightly less cap tied up in their top four, but are in a worse long-term spot as they have a crop of high-reputation young players that also need to be paid, whether or not they've earned it. Kakko, Laf, and Miller all need to be paid, and Drury can't just turn around and trade them to avoid that. Well, he could, but it'd cost him his job. Rangers fans are rightfully hyped for them and have been for awhile now.

Leafs just signed their young guns and have jigsaw-puzzled other NHL talent around them, and can swap out around their big earners a lot more easily. Rangers might end up having 6-7 large contracts that they can't move in like 2024-25. Trouba, Kreider, Z, Panarin all have full NMCs and don't want to play anywhere else--so when Laf or Kakko asks for commitment money, what can you do? Move Fox or let Shesty walk? Just jump your career off a bridge then.

They're gonna have 80% of their cap tied up between their top 5 F, top 3 D, and starter. Building out the other 14 players with like 18m will be rough.

If you look at the comments above, the op was not expecting our first back. Frankly I don't want any of those players anyway- we don't need left d at all, georgiev is awful, and for a some reason I have a very difficult time seeing kravstov coming to Buffalo.

Actually in another post today.....I mentioned that. When a team has five players making over the half the cap, then it's takes GM genius to fill the roster with a make the team competitive.

Buffalo isn't doing that.

If they move a top 10 pick, it will be for a, key word is "a," player that warrants it.

The piling a bunch of poop didn't work for eichel, and it won't work for a top 10 pick.
