Trades
MIN
  1. Perreault, Jacob
  2. 2022 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Is this too much from Anaheim? Not enough?
ANA
  1. Addison, Calen
  2. Fiala, Kevin [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Anaheim gets a top line winger that I think could be fantastic with Zegras. Addison is promising and could be a nice 2nd pairing D with PP duties but it doesn't seem like Dean trusts him enough to give him the minutes he needs for his development.

If Guerin intends to extend Dumba, Addison is logjammed into a 3rd pair role for the foreseeable future. It’s not ideal given Addisons upside, but it may be wise to reallocate his value elsewhere.

MIN is giving up too much IMO. Addison is a good D prospect.

Tracey plus either Jones or Steel instead of Perreault?

I would think ANA adds a small piece.

I think Minny would decline if perrault isn't involved or some type of B+ - A- tier prospect is involved. anaheim's pick looks to be around the 8-12 mark. Maybe if anaheim gets lucky in the lottery and their picks lands between 4-6 minny would be fine with tracey and steel or jones instead

Anaheim adds Jones - he is expendable and fits Minney's mold.

I don't think it's wise to move Addison - Minney is crap strapped and he's a super cheap bottom pairing option with upside.

You're right IMO but Perrault + a late first is enough for Fiala. IMO Anaheim would add a significant piece for Addison

Yeah I just meant that in regards to why MN would be moving Addison at all, not necessarily responding to this trade in particular.

1st + Perrault for Fiala is a tough sell though. I don’t think that level of value is out of the question, but it does seem to be on the higher end of what can be expected. I don’t personally see MN doing quite that well.

If Perrault is off the table I'd imagine we'd instead try for your 1st round pick (assuming it's in that 8-12 range it is now), I just don't know if Tracey and either Jones or Steel would be enough quality. I could see something like Tracey and your 1st though (again, assuming it's not a lottery winner).

How about Perreault and Anaheim’s 1st for Fiala and Addison?
