Bad deal with Winnipeg, better off with Cirrelli Foote the 1 and the couple hundred k in cap space.
Keeping Foote kills having to sign Russel opening 850,000 more in cap space

Why trade Sergachev and Cirelli, especially who is good defensive center and much younger than Scheifele?

Sens accept, they can afford to do that

Letting Connor Brown go would be hard but I want a partner for Chabot desperately. Brannstrom is not needed, let him go somewhere where he will be adequately surrounded so he could blossom

Chabot - Sergachev
Sanderson - Zub
Holden - Hamonic
Mete - Thomson/JBD

Finally a real (and potentially very good) NHL defense!

And Mathieu Joseph is the one who actually might allow the Sens to trade Brown

This is why paying top dollar for a a guy who kind of came out of no where and having his best season isn't always the best idea.

Mind you, Hagel is locked in with term, at a beyond reasonable price, and is under team control once this contract is done. Even if he doesn't "fit in" right away, TB has tons of time to make it work.

Hmm yeah hopefully that ends up working for Tampa. I don't mind Tampa keeping the Cup WARM until Ottawa starts collecting them sarcasm

I get that but I'm kinda high on both Katchouk and Raddysh
